Comprehensive edu-tech platform managing academic activities of staff and students at Bowen University. Saved the institution millions in third-party subscription fees.
Overview
SSHub is the core academic management platform for Bowen University — a multi-module system handling everything from course registration and grade management to staff records and timetabling.
Built as a team effort, I served as a full stack developer contributing to architecture decisions and building several core modules.
Modules
- Course Registration — Student course selection with prerequisite validation and capacity management
- Grade Management — Lecturer grade entry, moderation workflow, and official results publication
- Staff Records — HR functionality for the academic staff population
- Timetable Generator — Conflict-aware schedule generation for lectures and examinations
- Library Integration — Book reservation and borrowing tracking
Business Impact
By building and maintaining SSHub in-house, Bowen University eliminated subscriptions to multiple commercial academic management platforms — resulting in significant cost savings that were reinvested in campus infrastructure.
